Overview

From Duchamp to Conceptualism and beyond, artists have often sought to undermine the conventional, revealing assumptions about art. In many cases this has meant a change of medium, or a change in approach to a familiar medium. Some have turned to technological novelties in order to distance themselves from ossified traditional practices.
