Ad Infinitum (1994) reflects visual experience in the
1990s. The images stem from wrappers, cups,
flyers, and other detritus found on my walks to work. It is no
accident that the placement of this trash on a video monitor calls
to mind commericial television. The video is structured by a
progression (regression?) of techniques, marking time with eye
candy, fluid transformations, and the reduction of all symbolic
expression to promotion. Ad Infinitum was screened in the 1995 New York Short Film and Video Festival, among other places. Click on the image to view the video in MP4 or OGV formats using HTML5's video embedding.
